Now i am more relaxed and relived after haresh examinations are over. i think all the parents would have such experiences but only the level varies.
For the past two months suddenly i woke up on hearing a alarm in my cell and it was night 3 .i switched off and went to sleep after five minutes another alarm rang i got annoyed . this continued in two cell phones with an interval of 5 minutes. at last with last alarm haresh woke up after hearing my archana. he will say appa konja neram thunkaraen as if i set the alarm for his exams. after this all will be sleeping except me. daily i will ask has he set an alarm in cell he will say no and hide the cell in the pillow cover.
he will get up finally at 5.30 and starts reading but after 10 minutes the book will be on his face and he will be sleeping, now sarada will shout and haresh will be fresh at once.
he will say that he has to be in the school by 7.30 .at 7.15 he will rush to the bathroom hiding his book in the banian . in the dining table he will quickly swallow the tiffin and sarada will run after him with a hot boost. he will shout ennamma evalo suda irukku.
indu will interupt haresh intha lesson padichittaya antha kelvi ...... he will say choicela vittutaen , miss varathunu sonnanga.
finally i have to drive like narain which i am not used to. he will ask me to stop at a nearby temple to offer his prayer (kakka pidikka) . when he gets out of car in the school i will say all the best and ask how is his preparation . he scolds pongappa kathala enna neenga elupala................ .
you imagine, this continued for couple of months right from his revision exams .
on the last day of exam in the morning i said evening we will goto temple for thanksgiving. he said yes but in the evening he went to movie with his friends. at 8.45 i was waiting outside the theatre to pick him up ,so long i was waiting at school now at a theatre.
he will definitely rush to the nearby temple on the day of results.

Tsunami was the appropriate title for exam season.even during aditya's exams i face lots of problems and tension.i remember during ravi's 10 th public exam,previous day before the first exam started he was playing till 6.30 evening and suddenly remembered his public exams rushed back home sweating and he was tensed. my mother immediately sent him to nearby pillayaar koil to get last minute blessings.good one and photo..when did u take it?
thanx that photo was taken by indu 2 years back . ravi was sweating for the exams but even now ravi and we are sweating for wards exams.
I never thought Haresh would follow our footsteps! Padma was the expert in snoozing at our place..Did you get a chance to read my 'Snooze Snooze alarm' post? Your experience sounds similar and funny...Has Haresh entered 10th grade already? Smaller temple visits change to bigger pilgrimage for parents when kids enter 10th and 12th grade

I have seen people in my office who take one month leave (study leave!) for their children exams.But the boy will be in the cricket ground.
The climax will be there during +2 exams.Then during the campus interview time.
I have a short cut.
I allot one paper to each god.
Maths - Anjaneyar.
Physics - Ayyappan
Chemistry - Ragavendrar.
Computer science - Baba
This worked well. My sons got unbelievable marks in these papers.
They wrote on their own English and Tamil.They got around 80 % only in these papers.
Another trick I used when studying B.Tech and M.com is that dont shave and dont wear good dress on exam day.Kevalamane satta pottu ponaa super mark thaan!
Hi... nice post...Even my children exams are bayangaram for me.In case of sreenidhi, she is very good in allsubjects she used to get 100 percent in all subjects..except in Telugu and Hindi. She gets very poor marks in these subjects...Everytime I got scoldings from her teacher during parent teacher meeting. Initially I shouted sree but after that I got maturity nothing will happen if she scores less in these subjects...and also I avoided parent teacher meeting,after two days I go to school and collect the report cards.In case of Sai.. he is in LKG now..I never bother b cos he never brings his diary to home.. all the details of exams and homeworks are in that diary..
in our family vatsala used to toil with ravi,padma,and raja.making special prayers getiing earlier.running with cofee,boost etc. my roll will b guiding them and watching them that every thing is ok
my father should be conferred with Mr.Andaipulugar Award.;-)))when my mom toiled with tea,coffee for us apps will happily snore..:-)) in early mornings ...may be he was watching us with closed eyes :-))))
